Getting documents apostilled in Uruguay

As I mentioned in a previous post, documents that are notarized in the US are not recognized as legal by the Uruguayan Government. They must be apostilled specifically for the country to which they will be submitted. We waited until our next trip to the US to get our documents apostilled which constituted an unnecessary delay. Notarized documents from the US can be apostilled here in Uruguay at the US Embassy in Montevideo.
