renting an apartment in uy

hello! i just recently began freelancing in my career + also moved to MVD. bad timing i guess but it is all working out hopefully alright.

i have read that leases can be difficult in uy and are very long-term which is alright with me, but do you know what types of proof you usually have to show of income to get a lease? is it just like the us with bank statements etc?
