Exploring Relocation Trip

Hello,
My family will travel to Uruguay to explore the option to relocate from the US. We are planning about two weeks trip in August with the objective to get the feel of the country, people, environment, and eventually pick a home to settle. We would love to live on a chacra.
We have a five year old and would like very much for him to be able to play/socialize with other children, even attend local Uruguayan school. Spanish language is not an issue with us.
We would also like to be near to a English speaking community in Uruguay.
So, we would much appreciate your advise on which town/areas to visit/stay and eventually settle there.
Also, do you any recommendations for a local real estate agent. Thanks
