Descaling fish

So bought a huge fresh salmon filet from Tienda Inglesa today. although probably frozen when the store got it. Asked that the guy scale it and he starts to remove the skin! Oh no... that is the best part! so I explained, “just remove the scales please.”

He acted like he had never heard of such a thing and anyway they don’t do that! I on the other hand had never seen a fishmonger not scale a fish if asked... took me forever and there are scales everywhere. Now I know why I have always bought the prepackaged frozen servings!

As much as Uruguay is improving and how I tell people this is a first world country every now and then....I just wonder!
