New to Montevideo

Hi All~Just over three weeks ago I arrived in Uruguay for a 90-day trial run to see whether I could become a permanent ex-pat. I would love to hear from other English speakers who live away from their home countries either part of the year or permanently. How have you adjusted to the language? You've probably heard this riddle: What do you call someone who speaks three or more languages? [Multi-lingual]. What do you call someone who speaks two languages? {Bi-lingual]. What do you call someone who speaks only one language? [An American]. Sorry to say, I fit in the last category and am not proud of it but I do not pick up languages easily. Looking forward to hearing from others......
