Took photo in Macromercado

About an hour ago I was in Macromarcado looking for some things on a list I had been given. One of the items I was unsure about so I took a photo of the item in Macromarcado and security accused me of taking photos for their competition and said I could not take photos in the store. I only sent the photo to my girlfriend. What the hell? Have any of you encountered this?
