Native Americans in Uruguay

Hi,

I'm wondering how Native Americans are treated in Uruguay my wife and I are interested in visiting (from the U.S. maybe relocating). She faces discrimination here in the U.S., but she feels safe, and it doesn't impact going to the stores, etc... However in Mexico City she had a terrible time and did not feel safe and faced discrimination continuously.

As I understand black people may face some prejudice (at stores, etc...) but indigenous people are unlikely to face blatant prejudice, due to the genocide. Please correct me if I'm wrong. She will be very unhappy with me if we visit and she has continuous negative experiences based on her race.

She could be mistaken for Peruvian, she looks fairly similar to the attached picture. Thank you so much for your time!
