Ever considered San Gregorio de Polanco as a place to live in Uruguay?

I am writing this since you chose Uruguay or consider Uruguay of all countries on earth, so I guess you like remote, quiet, little known places.
San Gregorio is all this very much, at least 10 month per year, kind of the Uruguay of Uruguay. It was one of those tiny villages in the Interior where time moves slowly. When 50 years ago the hydro-electric dams were built, that created the huge lakes in the centre of Uruguay, San Gregorio ended up being on the shore of one of them. Over the years some tourism developed, mainly local and as is typical, very concentrated on the 2 ½ summer vacation months. It has some nice fresh water sandy beaches. Over the years I knew 3 expats who moved there or bought something there. Lost track of all of them. Whether there is a hand full of expats now or no one, I don’t know. Never been there myself. Not curious enough to do the 3 hours drive from my place.
If you consider buying farm- or rangeland in the area, say 10 or 15 minutes drive from San Gregorio, should cost some US$ 2500 per hectare, due to remoteness and not being the best soils of Uruguay.
PS just google-image-searched to add some picture, must say, bit outdated my view, place developed quite a bit over the last 5 years, not as sleepy as I remembered
