filling US prescriptions

We are hoping to give living in Uruguay a trial run this winter (Uruguay summer) for several months in the Montevideo area. One issue we haven't been able resolve is if we'll be able to fill a prescription from a US doctor (epilepsy) at an Uruguayan pharmacy. Since we're not going to declare residency on this visit we won't have a national ID. Is this even possible?
