Moving to Vietnam-advice please

My partner and I are planning on moving to HCM at the beginning of November, we have BA degrees and will be completing a TEFL course over the next few months, We went to HCM 3 years ago and loved the vibrant, energetic madness of the city. We really would like to know where you guys feel is a good, central area to live in. I think we will spend up to $800 p/m as this is the average price we have seen advertised so far. It does seem quite expensive, is this the price we should expect to pay or are we looking in the wrong areas....thanks for your help....
Also do you know of any foreign teacher agency's that would be able to arrange a teaching post for us out there or at least point us in the right direction
