Putting my kids in school?

Hi expat friends!

I'm an American living in Saigon. I have two children aged 4 and 7.

We are looking for a school to put our kids in, but in looking at the international school ... they are SO expensive! Like freakishly so.

My daughters still need to learn to read and the other one needs to learn the ABCs etc.
Does anyone have any advice?

I thought about a private tutor, but I'm not sure.
