Moving to Vietnam

Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are potentially moving to Vietnam later this year as she may be taking a legal job in HCMC. I'm an Australian Geotechnical Engineer. Wondering if anyone has much of an idea of the wages for engineers (ideally civil/geotechnical) in Vietnam? Also, if I wasn't to take full time work, is it easy to extend tourist visas, potentially for up to a year?
