hellow linda, i will be more than happy to give you any information i can. i wish i would have known more when i came here. first security is extremely important.. can you read spanish newspapers? when i got so that i could read the papers i could hardly believe what i was reading. i had lived in the state of idaho for close to 30 years, totally unprepared for the crime and deceptions of the life here. if you can read the spanish langage news papers i can give you some ideas about the realitys here. i have read many bad stories about crimes that happen here. if someone grabs your purse, my advice let it go. many women have died right there with a knife in the stomach. many people say, crime happens everywhere. i say not like here. i have wised up , enough i never go anywhere after dark. i even to the local corner store.it is a beautiful place , the weather compared to idaho is very nice. i dont have a heater or air conditioner. cost of living is much higher now than 10 years ago. i guess it is everywhere. i was at the local produce market this morning, great fruits and vegables more or less year round. prices are up and i do notice. but you can still buy a lot for the money.. i have recently considered the posiblity of visiting ecuador. i like a lot of what i read on the expat blogs. another reason is alpha omega labs manufactures a lot of alteritive medicenes there including black salve which i have used very successfully myself currectly using on my dog who just turned 8 in feb. i have been in losangles, i worked there in the 60s havented been there since the earily 90s . would diffently perfer here to there. just know dont trust anyone especially ones that have been there and came back speaking some english. here are lots of good people here, many do seem to resent gringos here well i personmely dont blame i have seen what happened in california and idaho as the mexican population blooned and i do resent it. our fine gov. thru us citizens under the bus years ago for the cheap labor. but i am not going back north to please them. anything specific i will give my honest opionion and try not re regress. good luck linda, just be save
