LOL#4: But I Ain't Laughin'

I read about it! I heard about it! It happened!

Our cab driver was pulled over today by the police. He did absolutely nothing illegal. Nothing! The police wanted $500 cordobas but our driver talked them down to $100 cordobas. Naturally, our cab driver wanted to let off some steam and the conversation turned to government/politics and corruption. According to our driver, he's pretty sure that he got pulled over because he was transporting 2 Americanos with the back seat filled with groceries from PriceSmart. He felt pretty sure that the police thought, "rich take". There was NO other explanation for the police stopping him. NONE. I still can't believe it. This is my FIRST REAL disappointment in Nicaragua. Geez!!!
