Bringing a boat to Nicaragua

In my last post I mentioned that I plan to drive from the U.S. to Nicaragua when I make the final move (mid-2015). I am wondering if it is practical, or even possible, to tow my 12-ft. fishing boat and motor behind us. I was thinking of selling it here but am now wondering if it might not be the perfect vessel for fishing Lake Nicaragua? Comments and suggestions are appreciated.
