Internet connection in Nicaragua

Hello,

I am planning on travelling to Nicaragua (possibly Leon) at the start of next year. I will be staying for 4-6 months and plan to work remotely while there.

In order to do this, I need a reliable internet connection that will be capable of allowing me to connect to a remote desktop and upload and download typed files.

Is there anyone here who uses their Nicaraguan internet connection for a similar purpose? Or who has knowledge of their internet connection statistics (bandwidth/speed and latency)?
