I apologize if these questions have been previously answered but I don't remember seeing them.
My wife and I are in full planning and implementation stage now for an early 2015 move to Granada. The following questions are ones that I need help with. Thanks in advance for response to any of the questions.
1. I am trying to find a home for my 10 year old cat but will take him with us if we can't find a home for him. Has anyone used a pet moving service and how much does it cost? If I take him myself any thoughts on him being in a small carrier for up to 10 hours?
2. Once you have a cedula do you still file state income tax returns? I would think if you are a Nicaraguan resident the answer would be no.
3. We are thinking of doing an advance trip to establish housing and then doing the final move after. Any thoughts on the necessity of this?
4. One resource suggests contracting with the shipper from Nicaragua instead of the states. Has anyone done this and is there a recommended shipper for a car plus goods?
5. Anyone have experience with getting a new cedula where the spouse was born there and still has their old cedula although it is expired for 25 years now?
6. Does it matter when submitting cedula docs who or where the translations are done? Recommendations?
