This day is a big public holiday in Nicaragua. BIG.
It is a political holiday. We were in Managua yesterday and they are preparing for a major event.

It will not be a good day to go any where, especially Managua and the day before will be very busy, especially the roads. Everywhere we went in Managua was very crowded. PriceSmart was jammed. There were rockets and fireworks most of the night.

Nicas really celebrate, big crowds and lots of loud music. Families travel from afar to be together. This year is the 35th anniversary of the revolution and the celebration is BIG.
