References for orthopedic surgeons

There is a young man here on Ometepe who fell six years ago when he was 9 and dislocated his knee. For whatever reason he never got treatment. He walks with his leg bent at about a 70º angle which x-rays show is also affecting his hip. First things first though.

I don't want to get into the social/parental aspect as I'm already over being royally pissed about this occurring and want to concentrate on giving him a life by his being able to walk.

I have the US Embassy medical list and hope for a few personal recommendations.
