Moving services

MY wife and I are moving for NY to Nicaragua at the end of the year and considering options. Since we won't be taking a car, a container is not necessary, but we still have a decent amount of things we'd like to bring. Maybe enough things to fill something like a 12' x 10' type space. We're considering leaving stuff in storage here in the US but that can get expensive, any suggestions?
