Corinto ?

My wife grew up in Corinto. I haven't been there for years, but she was just there for two weeks, and was impressed by how things have progressed. The port has cruise ships coming in, and she said everything looks nicer and newer...no people begging for money. We are thinking about buying her Mom's house, as she needs an income...and retiring there in 7 years. We'd have lots of family there, which seems comforting as we get older. We don't want to retire in the states...it is just too expensive. If we base ourselves out of Corinto, we'd have money to travel and do all kinds of things, due to the low cost of living. I am looking into things like health insurance, etc. Anyone know much about Corinto ? Thanks !
