Expats in Masaya

I just came here one month ago from Panama. I was in San Juan del Sur and now I am in Granada.

I'm looking for a place a little cooler where there are fair number of expats.

Can anyone tell me about the Masaya area. Is there an expat community that gather at certain places and that have events, etc.

Where are the better places to live in that area that are not too expensive.?
