Hi,
We are hoping to enter Nica a few times over our year-long travels with a car purchased and registered in CR.
I have heard now differing opinions on the ability of CR insurance to cover the driver/vehicle in Nica. One source suggests INS insurance covers up to 30 days in Nica, while another suggests no coverage at all for out-of-country. Has anyone ventured into Nica with a CR-registered car and had coverage there with CR-based insurance?
We are hoping to enter Nica for 60 days periods (the max allowable apparently with a CR vehicle in tow). Does anyone know where I can get information on what insurance is available to us, where it can be purchased, what it covers, etc...??
I hate to think I need to subscribe to two different insurances (one from CR and one from Nica) to cover us the whole time, which would be unfortunate overkill in expense!
Thank you!
