Hello,
When I got deployed to Bahrain for a year, I didn't plan on meeting the love of my life. Well, there's no denying it happened, and now I leave soon (Oct. 1st, 2015) and really want my Sweetie to follow me back to Hawaii. We are talking about getting married here in Bahrain in order to get a marriage visa for her to get into the states. The other option is a fiance visa, but we are worried that since we haven't been together that long (we met in December, 2014) they won't grant the visa.
We've been looking at the process and it is long. So far, she's ordered her "Singleness Certificate" from the Philippines and is getting that and her Birth Certificate authenticated there by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs.
I've made an appointment at the U.S. Embassy to get my No Objection letter signed. She has to get a No Objection letter from her employer/sponsor and get a letter signed by 2 non-family members that states she is a legitimate person (I can't remember what this letter is called). There's a few other things required for our Bahrain marriage.
Basically, I was just wondering if anyone has gone through the process and, if so, could offer any tips/advice/information regarding getting a marriage visa to the states. Thank you so much!
