I am seriously considering moving from North Carolina, USA to Kampot, Cambodia. I recently saw a television show called "House Hunters International, featuring Kampot.
I wonder if there will be any problem getting my social security and late husband's small army retirement in Kampot, Cambodia.
I'm assuming I will have to give up Medicare as my primary health insurance, and Tricare for Life (military) as a secondary insurance. If so, would I get Cambodian healthcare insurance and how dependable and expensive is it?
I understand speaking only English and using the American dollar will not be a problem?
Lastly, can I still get a simple, but adequate apartment for about $300? I understand if I use electricity for air conditioning, that will be quite expensive.
Thank you so much.
