General info and renting furnished apartment

I'm a retired Canadian living on my Government pension looking to find a place in a beach community. Would like to find a small furnished apartment with local access to transportation close by for shopping. I have about 2400 EC a month to live on. I like engaging with the locals. Any of you have any suggestions where to start looking at?
