Moving/pets to St. Lucia

Hi.i have been traveling to SlU for the last 4 yrs (2/3 times per year). I wish to move there but am aware I am up against many challenges. Employment being one, but getting my dog there is now my second (possibly larger) concern.
I have read and was told it’s fairly easy to get a dog onto the island, but based on what I read on this site, it does not seem it’s as easy as I thought. Does anyone have any advice or information?
I will be back on the island on the 29th, so any places I could go for more information would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
