Finding people to connect

I would love to find people to relate to and to build a friend base on the island. I will probably move to the Gros Islet area, if the internet is sufficient there.

What would you say, is it possible to work remotely from there?

Another question would be about the safety and especially the social equality on the island. Is poverty a problem?
