Quito (or other places in Ecuador) for digital nomads

Hi

Any of you there that are successfully working remotely from Ecuador ? In my particular case I'd need to have a reliable and fast-ish (reliability is more important than speed) internet and of course electricity. I looked a bit and it seems that Quito has quite a few coworking spaces so I assume internet/power is pretty reliable over there ?
Also - how is safety over there. I get the usual "don't walk in a deserted allery at 1AM" , but looking online I am seeing some articles about armed break-ins , car hijackings etc. Is this overall or is this just specific parts of the city ? Are there areas that are fairly safe and with good reliable infrastructure ?

I did "walk" on google streets around La Carolina and the city seems pretty put together in that area. Actually reminds me of Medellin a little but maybe even a bit more maintained.
