Help with dog rescue

Hello,

A friend of mine was living in Nicaragua and met a man from El Salvador and they started a relationship. He started off as very charismatic and charming but turned very manipulative and abusive. He convinced her to move back to El Salvador with him and work things out, and she agreed. However, she came back to the US to see her family before heading to El Salvador. He took her belongings and her dog with him. While being away from him, she started to understand how horribly abused, manipulated, and controlled she was by him. She wants nothing more from him except for her dog. She told him he could keep all of her other stuff, she just wants her dog. He is only keeping her dog as a means of control over her. She is extremely depressed, has severe anxiety, and I fear she will harm herself.

I am helping to get her dog back and I was wondering if there were any organizations or individuals who might be able to help us? We are willing to pay for her safe return.
