High School Teacher

My partner and I are considering moving back to Guatemala City. He is from there, and I am American. I am currently working as a teacher in an American school in Spain.

I was wondering if anyone knows what the job opportunities, salary, etc. are for middle school and high school teachers at the international schools in Guatemala. I have looked at the most well known schools (American School, Colegio Maya, etc.) but they do not mention salaries.

These schools also mention that it is mandatory to have a qualified teacher's certificate. Does anyone know what kind of a certificate that might be? Would a TEFL certificate be sufficient?

Any other information about what the norm in for international teachers in Guatemala would be very much appreciated!
