Work/living Permission in Guatemala

Hello,
My name is Paulo. I'm from Brazil.
I'm thinking about moving to Guatemala in the next years.

My thought is to live there for a while, probably one year. I think it would be a nice experience, living in a different country (it wouldn't be the first time), and also I could learn Spanish (Portuguese is similar but is not the same, and I've never studied Spanish).

But, to live in Guatemala for one year, I would have to find a job in there. I'm not interested in become rich or something like that, I just need to make living there, and maybe save a little.

I want to know what do I have to do to have a work permission in Guatemala. Does anybody in here knows?

Can I just move in and start working if I find something or in this case I would be an "ilegal worker"?

And also, to live in Guatemala, do I need to have a VISA?

I don't know, because, when we talk about Europe and USA, these things are complicated, but, at least in South America, there are some treaties, then it's easier to just move in.

For example, as Brazil is member of Mercosul, I can easily move in to Argentina and live and work there, without worries.

But I don't know how it works in Guatemala.

Can anybody help me, please?

Regards,
Paulo.
