Years ago I had obtained a copy of my birth certificate (LONG FORM) from the Canadian government. 8 years ago I needed the BCertif. to obtain my FM2 and took it to the Mexican Embassy in Toronto. It was translated by a certified translator into Spanish. When I submitted the document, The birth certificate was not accepted because the date was much older then the translated documents. So I had to obtain another BC and submit that one.
Does this sound crazy? why would the date of the document matter, I was not reborn and the information would not change...or maybe I missed something.
Now I want to move to Mexico with my Mexican / Canadian wife of 12 years.
Does anyone know if they will accept my Apostille that I used before for my FM2, which by the way I had to abandon due to an illness and had to return to Canada, or would I need another one.
