Must haves moving to Mexico

What should I bring and what to sell before moving?. Should I have my Miata towed or use public transport? Walking isn't pleasurable any longer, so not an option.
Normally, I would visit for awhile to find a place to live, then return and sell stuff but if I get to Mexico I don't want to return. I can rent while deciding where to live.
Any advice welcome of course!
