Spy Mission

To visit Portugal for two weeks of vacation and see if we can be friends and live in peace and have some fun. I would love some advise. My girlfriend and I are coming over from Seattle WA to Lisbon airport. I'm thinking a short-term rental but that's all I know. Can anybody recommend a place we can go to from the airport to unwind and plan our stay? We're not rich but we make do. two rooms and a private bathroom is our only criteria other than being near stuff.
