Hi there, we are thinking of a move to turkey for the UK and like Fethiye area, kas, kalkan. One concern is about expat life and culture, and like a mixed crowd, but also interested in politics, left wing thinking and some arty things. I suppose an ideal community would be a mix of locals and some expats who maybe are/were teachers or public sector types so that we feel at home. Not snobby at all, our neighbours and friends in the UK are very mixed and we are working class by background but don't want to be in an area where footie and soaps are the main preoccupation :) London is so mixed that it's hard to know what smaller places would be like in this respect. Any help appreciated.
