Finding a job in UAE for software professionals

Hi all,

I am new to this forum and would like to have the opinions of others. I am an Indian national having 15 years of experience in software. Right now I am working with an US based multinational company. I am thinking about relocating to UAE, but want to find about the job prospects. I have tried a little bit, more like soil testing, of applying through internet job portals. I have not received any response though. Now, I am not sure whether this is because my profile is bad :( or the job market in UAE at this time is tight or simply because that is not the preferred method of applying jobs in UAE. Any pointers related to this will be appreciated. Should I try to find a local employment agency here in India who handles international placements or should I try to find and get associated with an UAE based agency - I am clueless at this point. Waiting for replies :)
